Initially, the concept of the new album was firstly put forwards by Bjork when she was on her world tour. She was very excited at that time. quot;I do not want to create any slick noise on stage any more. I want to dig further. I can immediately see the potential of the iPad and I would like to create one song that contains 10 different natural elements. For example, you see the growth of crystals which can be regarded as a song. We see the changes of the moon and it can also be regarded as a song. quot; Subsequently, Bjork sees the whole universe from the iPad and the theme of the album quot;Biophiliaquot; comes to the world. She wants to make an unprecedented exploration into the universe and its power. In particular, she wants to find the intersection point among the music, nature and technology. Since the album quot;Biophiliaquot; has such a great idea, it must be an interdisciplinary hodgepodge. So, even though the new albumrsquo;s team does not contain those people such as Tricky, Thom Yorke or Timbaland, its creating team is not weak at all. Fans knows little about those pioneers in those unfamiliar areas. In the past three years, Bjork was almost devoted all herself into the new album’s production. She invited APP developers, scientists, writers, inventors, musicians, musical instrument makers and other numerous famous people to cooperate with her. The entire team’s working procedures in general is like this. At first Bjork and other songwriters would discuss the musical structure with those researchers. They would explore the link between the musical structure and the natural phenomena. During that period they would also ask them to create some special instruments to make the concept into reality. Therefore this project was not that easy as it seemed to be. A lot of people worked together to create it.
